    Ich Bin Ein Berliner!

THE UK's leading sweet potato grower importer returned to Fruit Logistica this year, where it continued to demonstrate the versatility of the vegetable by showcasing its new 'Berliner' recipe in the namesake city.

Visitors to the Love Sweet Potatoes stand had the chance to sample sweet potato jam-filled doughnuts, or 'Berliners', created by celebrity chef Felice Tocchini.

Not only were those of the 58,000 show goers that attended the stand able to sample a range of sweet potato treats - including soup, cake and gnocchi - but also get their hands on the first ever bags of Scott Farms Sweet Potato Chips, soon to be launched in retail outlets in the UK.

Following the success of its debut showing in 2012, the Love Sweet Potatoes stand was a third larger than last year's.

One of the five Love Sweet Potatoes liveried lorries travelled to the German city, where it delivered product for the stand at Messe Berlin, and was spotted by show goers.

Scott Farms International CEO, Stan Smith, said:

"Bringing our amazing fresh produce and the passion and ideas of Felice Tocchini to Berlin once again was a real thrill. We loved to engage with visitors to our stand in order to demonstrate the versatility and taste of Scott Farms International sweet potatoes. The new doughnut recipe is an addition to our existing ones, which are part of our award-winning Love Sweet Potatoes campaign.

"The chips will currently be the only sweet potato only snack in the UK and is a product that continues to demonstrate the versatility of the vegetable and has fantastic potential in the snack market," said Mr Smith.

Scott Farms International was named Importer of the Year at the 2012 re:fresh awards.
